FALL 2021 OUTDOOR RETREATS
INDIAN CREEK, UTAH
EL POTRERO CHICO, MEXICO

Ready to start your journey or expand as a climber? Looking to deepen your connection with nature and yourself? In search of new tools to support your yoga and mindfulness practice? Needing a reset after a tumultuous year? All of the above?

Join us for a holistic immersion into climbing, mindfulness, and community. We will approach climbing holistically, working with what’s present in both the mind and the body. Yoga and mindfulness instructors will lead us in deepening our connection to land with daily movement and meditation practices in the desert. In the evenings, we’ll share great meals and participate in evening councils, where we will create space to process our experiences as women in the outdoors, and in our lives more broadly. You will leave this retreat with a renewed sense of self-confidence, direction, and connections to new friends and climbing partners.

The entire 5-day retreat is an immersion with nature, body, and mind. Arrive day one to the beautiful grounds of Rancho El Sendero with the beautiful cliff line of EPC looming in the background. You’ll settle into your accommodations and have plenty of time to get to know your new group of friends.

The next fours days are a combination of body wellness and climbing that are catered to the skills and grades each person in the group is hoping to accomplish. With a wide range of rock grades and styles to choose from EPC is great for all types of climbers. Nutrition is very important to us. To make it easy we’ve planned a menu with La Posada’s restaurant specifically for you to choose from everyday. The options will include traditional latin dishes and vegetarian dishes. Check out the itinerary.

Enjoy the beauty of Potrero from a birds-eye view. Over the course of five days, you and your guides will take a tour around the many majestic towers Potrero has to offer.

All while receiving 2:1 instruction from your expert guideswoman to help you master the art of sport multi-pitch climbing.

This retreat is an all-inclusive trip that includes four guided days, a full meal plan, five nights accommodations, group gear/personal gear (upon request), technical skill clinics, one-on-one instructor time, and so much more! The purpose of this trip is to learn and feel comfortable multi-pitch climbing, which means many of your days climbing will be spent on multi-pitches! To be specific, this trip will entail 3-4 half-day multi-pitch climbs (2-3 pitches per route), a full-day multi-pitch(10-12 pitches), and 1-2 single-pitch climbing sessions. You’ll have the opportunity to curate the trip based on your own needs by communicating with your guide on personal desired outcomes for the trip.

Partners are important! You can either sign up with your preferred climbing bud or sign up solo and we’ll pair you with someone awesome to work on those partner skills with. Another thing that is important to us is nutrition. To make it easy we’ve planned a menu with La Posada’s restaurant specifically for you to choose from every day. The options will include traditional Latin dishes and vegetarian dishes. This is a co-ed trip that is open to anyone!
